Deleting a Product from the Bolt Cloud

Update: Delete Product Button Disabled in Bolt Cloud

Overview

We have made an important update to the Products section in Bolt Cloud. The Delete Product button has been disabled to prevent accidental data loss. When users hover over the disabled button, they will see the message: "Disabled to avoid data loss".

Reason for the Update

Initially, the Products section in Bolt Cloud was primarily used by students for learning and experimentation. However, as our platform has grown, enterprise customers now rely on it for Temperature and Humidity Monitoring, Negative Temperature Monitoring in cold storage, server rooms, and other critical applications.

Since the data collected by these devices is crucial, deleting a product could result in permanent loss of critical data from our cloud. To prevent unintended data loss, we have decided to disable the delete option for all users.

What This Means for You

  • The Delete Product button is now disabled.

  • When you hover over the button, a message "Disabled to avoid data loss" will be displayed.

  • This ensures that critical data from enterprise applications remains intact and secure.
